About This Site

Welcome to the maintenance page for Akamai Enterprise Application Access (EAA). This public page is used to communicate maintenance for the EAA platform. You can subscribe to maintenance notices using the above link.

The maintenance page has been broken down in to components to allow you to subscribe to updates that apply to you. "Cloud Zones" are where your applications reside and where you deploy them to The "Management" section will apply to all, these are the components that allow you to manage your EAA deployment.

This page is not used for reporting service incidents. All Incident Reporting for Akamai services can be found at https://www.akamaistatus.com.

During this maintenance window we will be migrating EAA Clientless applications to our improved dial-out version, providing enhanced performance, stability and scalability.

This migration will run in phases during the maintenance window and may result in a brief application downtime of up to 5 minutes whilst your EAA connector(s) reconnect to the cloud zone using the latest dial-out version.

If you have deployed your clientless application to this cloud zone after May 2024, your application will already be using the optimized dial-out version and will not be impacted during this maintenance window.

We will also take this opportunity to migrate client applications created prior to July 18th, 2021 to the optimized dial-out version. Client applications created after this time will not be impacted during this maintenance window.

During this maintenance window we will be upgrading our capacity in our Hong Kong Cloud Zone and applies to Clientless applications.

The upgrade process should take about 10 to 20 minutes, during which some users may need to re-authenticate. We recommend not deploying applications during this short interval.

As part of the upgrade process, we will be also updating the IP Addresses of the EAA service. Please ensure you have reviewed your firewall configuration as depending on your firewall configuration additional steps may be required:

* If you are not restricting connectors outbound access: No action is needed.
* If you are restricting connectors outbound access by FQDN: No action is required.
* If you are restricting connectors outbound access by IP address: Please ADD all the CIDRs that are listed under the March 2024 section without removing any previously implemented IP based rules. The CIDRs can be found here: https://techdocs.akamai.com/eaa/docs/allowlist-for-accessing-eaa-service

As part of an expansion in our Singapore and Frankfurt Data Centers we are introducing the following new network CIDR's. These CIDRs will become active at anytime on or after December 15th, 2024.

- 172.236.222.0/26
- 172.236.159.0/26

Please ensure you review your network configuration as this may require you to update your firewall and any other upstream ACLs to ensure your connector(s) can communicate with the Akamai Platform.

* If you are not restricting connectors outbound access: No action is needed.
* If you are restricting connectors outbound access by FQDN: No action is required.
* If you are restricting connectors outbound access by IP address: Please ADD the above CIDRs
